Ray (Dylan Walsh) is a good guy, but life just conspires against him. Even when he finds out the truth about his wife and son, he doesn't even get that mad. But eventually he reaches a turning point and starts to take control. He gets an insight into what life could be like by Merl (Danny Devito) who tells him he needs to dream big.
This film is not easy to sum up, not a lot happens but at the same time it is endearing. Though I have to say Ray moves so slowly he would have trouble catching a cold, especially when it comes to romance and the opposite sex.
The local teen gangsters also appear a little weak, not the sort that would strike fear into your heart. They look like the type that just needs a good slap to sort them out.
A light-hearted and slow paced film that is worth watching, its a little bit different and that is part of the charm.
