Out of the Past DVD: Review By coolnblue

Movieweb has left us a terrific decription of this movie and let it be known if you would like to see classic Douglas and classic Mitchum at their,what i would say their best, see this movie with it's mysterious characters how it pulls you in to see the world that is cool in the shade and dangerous in the night. This is an example of the way more movies should be made these days. The women, the way they move and perform their lines is just perfect,the look they give off in their eyes,it's like they've casted the line your way and you forget they're reeling you in for the kill and before you know it, you feel what's alluring Robert Mitchum's character and what make's him week and strong.In another words you become part of the movie at times and share in the excitement.There're no distractions with color,you know it's there but realize the plot and characters in the story are far too important so much you feel the color,you feel the mood,you get the dialog ,superb,line after line,scene after scene. They say you can learn alot about life from watching movies but it's only a movie you say, but just pay attention,this time you may walk away with something that could save your life. If you love classic cinema ,you'll sure watch out of the past again in the future!
