Hood of the Living Dead DVD: Review By The CryptKeeper

This movie is just terrible, it's probably worth 0 stars, but it is the funniest movie I've seen in quite some time that I think was suppose to be serious, or at leas have some serious parts to it. I mean, with a title like Hood of the Living Dead, you'd expect a little humor, but it looked like at times, it was trying to be serious, and it just came off as stupid. The acting really ruined it. Even the zombies were bad actors. How much skill does it take to be a zombie? I guess a lot more than you'd think, because they sucked!

The story is your basic science-project-gone-wrong sort of think. So, this guy is a scientist, working on a cell-regeneration. And one night, his brotha is shot and killed in a drive-by shooting. So he gets the help of a friend to use the untested cell-rejuvenation stuff. But, it fails so they call an ambulance to take him away. BUT then, while in the ambulance, the serum starts to work and he comes back to life! But he's not the same... He's a zombie!!! Then he goes on a killing/biting streak, and it is up to the live brotha, his friend, and a few others to put a stop to all this mayhem! It's bad, but funny.

The acting, like I said, makes the movie what it is. The zombies couldn't even act! Then, the gangsters were so funny. Then, when it was "serious" and they were crying, I was laughing! Of course, I didn't recognize any of them

Visuals are extremely cheap. It's very obvious that this is not real blood, or wounds on the characters. But I'm sure this is no surprise to you.

So, overall, definitely get this movie if you're in the mood for a good, clean laugh. But if you're looking for serious, then why are you even looking at this movie? Hood of the Living Dead, come one...
