Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan star in Eagle Eye, a cautionary tale of digital identity and the perils of Big Brother-esque data gathering from our increasingly connected existence.

LaBeouf and Monaghan shine with strong performances. Billy Bob Thornton and Rosario Dawson provide solid support for our leads as they race to unwind the story's particularly devious plot. Other notables include Michael Chiklis and a short-lived Anthony Azizi.

Director DJ Caruso spins a taught narrative loaded with nuance and great visuals. The pacing is fast, as the story unwinds and truly opens your eyes to the notion of all the tech that surrounds us and literally strips us of every last ounce of privacy making us truly 'public' citizens, in every way that label would indicate.

Overall, a great pic with lots of action, wound tight enough to keep even the most anti-thriller viewer bound to their seat at full attention.

This is definitely one for the collection.

As a final note, my favorite line from the film is delivered by Thornton as Agent Morgan, who states...

"If you're staring at me, it better be because I'm the suspect. If not, get back to work or I swear you're all demoted to something that involves touching sh*t with your hands!"
