A flavorful bit of Canadian lunacy, this is one television show that this easily consumed in a single bite. Seriously, my favorite reality show of the moment.

THE GOOD
The friendship between Kenny and Spencer is undeniably watchable. And every single show goes out of its way to be highly entertaining.
THE BAD
Some of the stuff they do on this show is nauseating. It's definitely not to be watched while consuming lunch or dinner. There isn't any insight from Matt Stone or Trey Parker. All you get is their name on the box.
THE FEATURE
Maybe it's just me, or maybe I'm bored with American produced reality television, but everything seen coming out of Canada seems to be solid gold in comparison. Comedy Central's Kenny vs. Spenny: Volume One - Uncensored is no exception. This is one of the funniest, most entertaining reality programs I've ever been exposed to. And I sat and watched the entire ten episode run in one long sitting. The series revolves around life long best friends Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice. Every week they challenge each other to a new task, and the winner has to suffer mass humiliation in front of the general public. Kenny is a true bastard. He lies, cheats, and goes out of his way to bring total shame upon his friend Spenny's head. Spenny, on the other hand, is a thoughtful, nice, play it by the book kind of contestant that is trumped at every turn. And that's what makes the show so watchable. Kenny and Spenny's chemistry together is undeniable interesting and true to life. Sure, you want Spenny to win. He rarely does. But it is so internally gratifying to watch Kenny get the best of his well-meaning friend. The ten challenges include "First Guy to Get a Boner Loses", "Who Can Blow the Biggest Fart?", "Who Can Produce the Best Viral Video?", "Who Can Eat More Meat?", "First Guy to Get a Stain Loses", "Who Can be Tied to a Goat the Longest?", "Who Can Handle More Torture?", "First Guy to Stop Singing Loses", "Who Can be Obese the Longest?", and "Who Can Commit the Most Crime". There isn't a stale episode in the bunch, and after you watch the entire run, you'll only be left wanting more. I say, "Buy it today!"
THE EXTRAS
This first volume of the Canadian import offers over thirty minutes of bonus material. Though included in the natural run order of episodes, the one where they try to remain stain free is considered a bonus feature. There are also a number of Kenny and Spenny: Men on the Street outtakes, as well as plenty of deleted scenes from the actual show itself. The best special features are the three Kenny music videos, which come from the "Who Can Sing the Longest" competition.
THE VIDEO
Full Frame. Unexpectedly cheerful and bright for such a darkly humorous show. It was shot on hand-held hi-def, and the images are gorgeous. That is, if you like looking at a dead goat in hi-def.
THE AUDIO
The DVD is presented in Dolby Digital: English Stereo. All dialogue is uncensored.
THE PACKAGE
Another great presentation from Comedy Central, who've picked this show up from Canada's Showcase. There are plenty of funny pictures on the back cover, and the hues offer up just the right ambiance to make you pick this up out of curiosity. Way better than the original Canadian packaging, that's for sure.
THE FINAL WORD
This is a great show. I can't recommend that you go out and buy it enough. Once you get through that first episode, you'll be hooked and certainly craving more. It's funny as anything else Matt & Trey have produced. And that's saying a lot.
