This is something I would take my 12 year old tween to see if there was nothing better to see.

The Good: Kevin James portrayal of a lonely, mall security guard taking his occupation over the top. Mia, Paul Blart's daughter and probably his best friend giving her dad advice.

The Bad: The story, film editing, Paul Blart's obsession with the "teenage"(so it seemed to me) wannabe girlfriend at the hair extension kiosk, Amy. The "bad guys and gal": Can these people really be taken seriously with their skateboards, BMX bikes and Circue de Solei moves.

The story turns from 45 minutes of Paul's everday boring life at home and in the Mall, only to be directed poorly into a cheesey hostage standoff crisis in the Mall he so protects with dedication.

Not ruining the movie for anyone who cares to view, there were a few funny scenes in the bar and the picture of he and his x-wife and the ringtone of the cell phone he borrowed.
