Another Violent paced action manga-to-film adaptation from one of my favorite directors Takashi Miike. When the movie started I wasn't sure if I was going to like this but once the film kicked into High Gear and the rivalry between the two gangs started I was very impressed at how unpredictable and cool the movie was. The movie had a few cartoonish moments but thats to be expected and it wasn't constant like the Spirit it was only two scenes. The thing I really like about the movie was that while its a movie about two gangs wanting to be #1 you get to know the leader of both sides and you get to see why both of them want to be #1 and the challenges that face them and thats what makes part of the movie unpredictable the movie also has a lot of cool hardcore fight scenes. The movie is worth the watch if you like asian cinema and Takashi Miike's work special features include an interview with Takashi Miike and some trailers.
