I think it is impossible for the remake of this cult classic to reach the insanity of violence that was done in this movie and also be very controversial I think the remake will just be a casual thriller. The reason what makes Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs so good is that it taps into extreme violence in not only a realistic way but also in a psychological way. Now I know that some people find this movie to be a snuff sexist porno thriller and to be honest I do see their point, but I will say that just because the movie is violent it does in no way glamorize violence. The movie in a way is almost about a mans journey from being a coward to becoming a hero and Dustin Hoffman gives one of his best and most underrated performances in this movie. The movie does have at least one violent scene that will make you cringe because of how violent the act is and how scary it's filmed because the scene feels so real. You may at one point think that this movie is to much and you may stop watching it but to be honest I think it is a true masterpiece. The movie is about violence and violent people and it is one of the most violent movies I own but every time I watch it Im just blown away at how good it is. I can't explain why I like the movie you just have to see it for yourself.

Well that's it in a nutshell but a lot more happens in the movie that makes everyone so violent.

So this was about a new guy that moves into some town in the English countryside right? And the townspeople are ultra-violent against the newcomers for some reason? idk, i wanna see it.
