This is one of the best animes. Capcom and Manga have a classic. Gisa Buro Sugil and Kenchi Imai did an excellent job bringing the essence of the Street Fighter games to life in this film.

It follows two legendary warriors Ryu (Hank Smith) and Ken (Ted Richards) as they have the fight of their life to stop the Shadaloo leader M.Bison (Phil Matthews) who wants to control the minds of the world’s greatest fighters to take over the world.

Everything in this film is done very well. They style and the animation is great. The color and looks of the back grounds were amazing. Even the music that they have chosen for the film fits perfectly with everything going on. The actors for Street Fighter did an excellent job. Matching their lines to the character animation. So there aren’t any scenes where the character lines end and the mouth still moves. Like the old English dub kung fu movies.

Here's a little bio of what the actors have done. This is just the main ones who are throughout the film.

Hanks Smith plays Ryu. He has been evolved in many animes like Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Mobile Suit Gundam, Street Fighter V, Street Fighter Alpha, Trigun and Akira. He has done some live acting in shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek Next Generation and Babylon 5. Also he did voice over for the video game Dynasty Warriors. Not has he done acting but he has worked on animation for Charlie Brown and Mr. Magoos Holiday Festival.

Ted Richards plays Ken. He has worked on animes such as Akira, Dragon Ball and Robotech. He did a voice over for Doctor Doolittle and some for the video game Ace Combat.

Mary Briscoe plays ChunLi. She has worked on the animes Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Mobile Suit Gundam, Trigun, X, Street Fighter V and Street Fighter Alpha. She has also done a voice over for the video game Resident Evil Out Break.

Donald Lee plays Guile. He has done some work on the animes Cowboy Bebop, Fist of the North Star, Gun Grave, Ninja Scroll, Trigun and Vampire Hunter D. He has done voice over for the games Castlevania, Final Fantasy Dirge of Cerebrus, Dynasty Warriors, Resident Evil Out Break, and is the voice of Mr. Freeze in the new Batman: Arkham Asylum video game.

Phil Matthews plays Bison. He has worked on the animes Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Gun Grave, Mobile Suit Gundam, Outlaw Star, Vampire Hunter D and Street Fighter V. He also did voice over for the game Castlevania

The DVD features the original English and the original Japanese version with never before seen scenes. And there is a UK edition with never before scenes. It has interactive player cards to give you information on each character and has the Uk trailers. My only problem with the DVD is that is doesn’t have enough special features,

I highly recommend this for anyone who loves animes or is a big Street Fighter fan. Or if you want to start getting in to animes this would be a great one to start off with. Street Fighter 2 the animated movie is one of my favorite animes. Its not like the live action Street Fighter films. This one is very good. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
