Heat DVD: Review By The Dark Knight

10/10 This movie is THE BEST MODERN CRIME DRAMAS EVER Michael Manns best work I think is this movie it is better than Collateral which was awesome better than Miami Vice was really cool and better than Thief which was cool. This is the greatest. I love this movie its in my top 5 top crime movies. It is so great if you haven't seen IT LIKE VAMP. & CRYPT. YOU MUST. oh and Michael Mann produced Miami Vice the TV Show.

This movie isn't really based around drugs like American Gangster ,Blow ,Scarface ,and other ones. It is based around A score at a bank and a cop that is closing in on them.

overall - It is a must buy I would wait for the blue-ray edition which is coming out shortly ;) if you do have a blu-ray player! It is a great crime drama must see.

Acting - I almost forgot lol Robert Deniro Al Pacino Val Kilmer Tom Sizemore John Voight Ashley Judd William Fichtner Natalie Portman Wes Studi Dennis Haysbert Danny Trejo. All great acting from all of them and more This is a great cast. This is the first Time Robert and Al have scene together and it is great they don't have the most time on the screen together but it is wroth it. Its a lot better than righteous Kill lol Val and Tom are great. All the little touches are great all of the small plot lines in this movie involving people is just fantastic.

visuals - great some cool stuff nothing to mind blowing you haven't seen before done with the camera.

sound - the sound is great! Nothin like surround sound lol

replay value - yeah watch it anytime for me lol The thing is I haven watched it to much unlike TDK lol I'm starting to get tired of watching that on DVD I can't wait for the blu-ray of it. Yeah you could watch it more than once and not get tired of it JUST DON'T WATCH IT TOO MUCH OR YOU'LL GET SICK OF IT! lol

Special Features - They are good but I don't have the DVD with me and haven't seen them yet so I guess they were good.

Plot - Hunters and their prey--Neil and his professional criminal crew hunt to score big money targets (banks, vaults, armored cars) and are, in turn, hunted by Captain Vincent Hanna and his team of cops in the Robbery/Homicide police division. A botched job puts Hanna onto their trail while they regroup and try to put together one last big 'retirement' score. Neil and Vincent are similar in many ways, including their troubled personal lives. At a crucial moment in his life, Neil disobeys the dictum taught to him long ago by his criminal mentor--'Never have anything in your life that you can't walk out on in thirty seconds flat, if you spot the heat coming around the corner'--as he falls in love. Thus the stage is set for the suspenseful ending....
