The Believer DVD: Review By Rock

Danny is a pretty inteligent young man , some would say is to inteligent for is own good , he is also full of anger . Danny beleives that if your gonna hate something or someone then you should know everything about the thing you hate. Danny is a racist but he mainly really hates Jews , he likes to beat them up randomly on the street just to trie to get a reaction from them. He is part of is local skin head/ neo-nazi chapter and participates in extreme right wings and nazi militia lectures and meetings . He even works for one organization by doing anti-semetic seminars and lectures to people of all race and right wings high class's. But Danny ultimate goal is that he longs to kill a jew and is quite determine to achieve his goal . But like I said in the begining is Danny beleive in knowing your enemy , and he happens to know everything about the Judaism culture . The reason for that is that Danny is a jew and used to be a star pupil in Judaism , but again Danny is not your typical ''jew-nazi'' that you read existed tru history .He is a lot more complex then that Just like Judaism , or any other religion and even racists movement for that mather , Danny's beleifs and actions contradict themselves. Tru out our journey with him he to tries to convert nazi to judaism and turn the jews anti-semite , and it's only tru his personal contradiction and action that he will finally find himself and enlightment/goal

The believer is one of these really well made inteligent powerfull indie film that reminds you how important the film media really is and how you dont need a big hollywood budget to make a impact on someone just with a film. like i said it's a pretty inteligent and powerfull with a really strong perfomance by Ryan Gossling has Danny , His perfomance is quite mesmerizing , in my opinion he truly is the best young actor in the buisness today , he is quite versatile and is choice of projects are always interesting and he seems to like to take the indie route .he truly made this character fascinating and pull it off so perfectly it's scary , he probably had some trouble shaking that confuse personality off.

I enjoy this film a lot second time i view this and it was even better the second viewing , I really like that it doesnt shy from showing realistic confrontations and some pretty nasty scenes , and wow the ending will leave some breathless. A must see for any one that enjoy a inteligent indie film that will make you think for days to come. A film that youll be thinking about it even days after your view of it
