THE FEATURE
The first season of That '70s Show was its best because it was the most surreal. It kind of fell into standard sitcom formula too quickly, so here's your chance to get the best part.
THE EXTRAS
Most of the features disappoint. A spot that I thought would be about '70s commercials is just about TV spots for That '70s Show. And how hard would it have been to find some old '70s commercials? The trivia spot is okay, as each cast member introduces a bit of trivia. The main doc*mentary is pretty basic. It looks like it was actually shot during the first season, as everybody is very young in the interviews. It covers all the basics and describes the setup of the show, but it doesn't go in depth into anything. Basically, these are all standard extras to have if you're into the show, but won't really provide anything "extra."
THE FINAL WORD
I like the initial episodes of That '70s Show, so that's a collection I'm happy to own and revisit occasionally. I didn't learn much from the extras, but it's good to have a bit of cast perspective.
