The Good- The cover on tthe DVD can capture into thinking it's a scary movie even though it is.
The Bad- The last... 35-40 minutes of the movie was not worth watching, it was borig.
The Sound- I watched in the English Dolby 5.1, I did because i can't understand the other languges. It sounded extrodinary. The sound was perfect, no echoes, better make sure of that. No pointless sounds, just the ones that scare you and manipulate you. But the manipulateing was more real, it was truly believable.
The Features- The feature, was great, John Cusack was talking about 1408, talked about the summary, what the point is and of course said Stephen King's name, King made this novel and many more. It showed how they made it a little, how they made 1408 and it's surroundings. Like snow, water, and how they did it. It was called "Inside Room 1408." the features could've been better, I would have liked it if the Features were longer, they were only about 3 minutes, i like long ones but then again not TOO long ones. 10 minutes it good enough for me.
Replay Value- Watching it over and over again was sometimes... bad. It got old and predictable, but thats because you've seen it. Comedy movies you can definetly watch over and over again. I watched this about... 5 times, the last 2 were not as good as the first 3 were. Even though, this is the kind of movie you can see about 3 times or more.
Picture- The cover was cool, espeacially the front cover, once again it loks scary to manipulate you, but still i love the front cover. The Back cover was ok, Showed some pictures, and the credits. The menu is showing Cusack going into the room 1408 and somethings that happen in it. Oh, this also shows Samuel L. Jackson, a ACADEMY AWARD winner. Great actor of course.
A good movie, even a great DVD that you can watch including the features. 4 stars. you can certainly buy the DVD, rent it, or if you have already seen the movie watch everything it has, pretty great. It's a complex movie and a brilliant DVD. So go see it.
