The movie starts out interesting enough with a small town grocery store employees and patrons held up at gun point forced to be "Scanned" by a small man by the name of all "Spooky". Only do we later find out the team of gunmen and gunwoman left there top secret governmental jobs in search and to destroy these alien life forms tracking them to this small grocery store. What they don't realize is one of the hostages is an undercover cop and takes it upon himself to play hero only to be shot and killed by the captures. The dead bodies from the shootout are transported to the stores cooler.
When several of the hostages are freed because " Spooky" dosen't expect them to be contaminated, others are coralled in a makeshift holding cell and put through a test to see which one it "The King".
One of the hostages is a female store clerk whose step-father is among the hostage negotiators. Things start to go wrong for the captures/ hostages when the cop that was killed comes alive when his body is taken over from the aliens which we never see happeneing in the movie. Eventually, the cops summon the help of a female convict also considered to be a "Scanner" to help them figure out who is "The King". The dead cop is killed again and we are lead to believe the story is over only to see the female store clerk was " The King".
This movie has all the tangibles to be better than what was portrayed. What I found silly besides the pitiful shrieking sound the alien made was when the dead cop attacked the camera would shake violently making the viewer perceive something really intense was going to occur.
