So this movie is about a guy who goes to his wife's parents house for dinner, and afterwards returns home to their aborted child that for some reason is alive and with them. The rest of the film seems to occur in the apartment, with him taking care of the child in very sickly ways. Plus the whole film is agonizingly slow moving and boring. Just like the opening credits of the guy walking to the house through the city.

It's cuz of these excessively slow moving scenes and lack of ANY plot whatsoever that the film is basically comprised of 4 acts:

1) the walk to the house

2) dinner at the house

3) the sleepless night at the apartment

4) the mad scientist's laboratory

And they can be deconstructed as such: Boring & Pointless!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole film is in black & white, and there was barely any talking in the film. The quality was bad, and the sound was worse, yet it's considered to be a cult classic. I'm not kidding you in the slightest! Believe me, I wish I was.

My Dad wanted to buy this, so he ordered it online from Korea, since they were the only ones with DVD copies of it at the time it was released (no surprise why). But the movie sucks too much for it's mere 88 minute runtime to waste your time on.

Bizarre things happen in the film as well, such as the cooked chicken starting to move around when the guy cuts into the drumsticks, and the literal transformation of his head into an Eraser by a weird boy and his creepy mad scientist boss. Some say that the film was made for the scenes like these, while others say it demonstrates why people should be anti-abortionists. Either way, the movie sucked, and any hidden message meant nothing to it's overall demise.

Overall it was really stupid, and really pointless. That is if you haven't figured it out by now. I don't know what Director David Lynch was trying to achieve with this, and don't care to know. I can't even remember the actor's name, if in fact it isn't Lynch himself, which I actually think it may be.

So basically, DON'T SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!! It'll be the GREATEST WASTE of your movie viewing life!!! My Dad made me watch it when he first got it, saying I'd find it weird...well, he was right about that!!!!!!!! JUST DON'T SEE THIS FILM!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My dad wouldn't shut up about it until I did and he was being a real jackass about it at the time, so I had to stave through it. Though that was at least 5 or 6 years ago now.

    Yeah, it's got some pretty weird moments that would normally prompt a laugh, but the mood of the film was WAY too out there to laugh at anything, and the whole ending with the laboratory makes you think "what the f*ck?" and look at it perplexed, wondering why David Lynch went off on SO big a tangent for the ending sequences.

    I was going to see this, but I was skeptical because I heard somewhere, that this movie was the weirdest and craziest movie ever made, and boring, and you seemed to have just confirmed it.
