Alright, so I just bought the two-disc special edition for the hit movie “Twilight”. Twilight is one of the greatest book series turned to the big screen ever known to man. I have read all four “Twilight” books and I love each and every one of em’: “Twilight”, “New Moon”, “Eclipse”, and “Breaking Dawn”. “Twilight” was published in 2005 and it was written by Stephanie Meyer, she has a little cameo in this movie as well by the way. Watch for her at the diner in one of the scenes in this. She is at the front counter on her lab-top ordering a coffee. I know, its really, really sad that I know that. I already have a movie review for “Twilight” but I wrote it back in November and its probably only a three-paragraph review, so I decided to write a more improved one since I bought the DVD. I had a choice between two “Twilight” DVDS. I could either of bought the single DVD that was only eighteen dollars or buy the two-disc special edition DVD for twenty-four dollars. I, of course, bought the special edition because, one, the cover was better, two, all the awesome features, and three, I always love having the special editions other than the single/regular DVDS. And, I am a huge fan so it’d been wrong if I didn’t have this special edition. Besides, its only a seven or eight dollar difference. I can handle that little extra. Besides, it was worth it. C’mon its “Twilight” for gosh sakes. I love this movie, very, very much! I saw this movie right when it came out and I read all four books in a row because there all so darn addicting. I cannot wait for “The Twilight Sagas New Moon” in November and “The Twilight Sagas Eclipse” in June of next year. I bought this DVD at Wal-Mart and I watched it right when I got home. I watched the movie. I waited for just a couple of hours ago to watch all the features. Disc two includes a seven minute doc*mentary on making the book to a script and the script to the big screen. It was pretty interesting. You can also watch a bunch of deleted scenes and interviews with Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart. So, I do recommend buying this DVD and seeing this piece of film. “The Most Epic Romance Since Titanic!”-Hollywood.Com
PLOT: [MANY SPOILERS]
What is the plot of Twilight? The movie follows the book pretty well but the movie is no where as great as the book. The movie is worth five stars but it doesn’t beat the book in anyway. I still love this movie though! The movie is about Isabella Swan [Bella]. She is a seventeen year old junior living with her mother and her boyfriend Phil in Phoenix. Phil, playing Minor baseball gets training in Jacksonville, Florida. Bella, wanting her mother to be happy and to be with Phil, she decides to go and spend some time with her father, Charlie, in Forks by living with him for a little while. Charlie, being the chief of Police is a good man to Bella. He even buys her a old truck off his best friend Billy Black for Bella. Bella heads off for her first day of school where she makes friend with other juniors named Mike, Jessica, Eric, and Angela. Bella, always being the outsider doesn’t quite fit in with her new group of friends though. The first day of school, Bella notices a out-of-the-box family: The Cullens. She finds them fascinated by their beauty and especially from Edward Cullen, her new lab partner in Bio. Edward, feeling weird around Bella misses school. Bella wonders why he is avoiding her but when he comes back, he saves her life from a [almost] death and Bella becomes even more attracted. She becomes curious on who the Cullen family is. After hearing a tale from Jacob Black, Billy’s boy, she looks into old legends and discovers a dark secret on who Edward and his family are: Vampires. Bella confronts Edward about his secret. They both end up falling in love afterwards but love hit’s a pedal when Bella hits danger from a trio of Vampires: Laurent, James, and Victoria, three human-drinking Vampires. The Cullen family are veggies. James, wanting to drink Bella, goes on a deadly hunt for her and Edward must stand against him in a deadly battle for his loves life. The movie is very great! I love the plot of the movie! The whole movie is completely interesting and it just keeps you on the edge of your seat!
KRISTEN STEWART:
Kristen Stewart plays Bella Swan, the lead in the film. I remember seeing her for the first time in the 2002 Jodie Foster thriller “Panic Room”. Oh, I loved “Panic Room”. It was so intense! Kristen Stewart does an excellent job as the young teenage daughter as well. Kristen Stewart was also in the kids film “Catch That Kid”. It was about a girl and her two guy friends who rob a bank to save the girls father. It was kind of good, but I don’t really remember it all that much. It came out like five or six years ago. Kristen Stewart was also in the 2007 horror-film “The Messengers”, which I thought sucked, but that’s my own opinion. I didn’t think Kristen Stewart sucked but the movie did. Big-time! Uhhhh, I can’t really think of anything else that she was in. I know she’s in a lot more but my head is like fried today so I can’t think. Kristen Stewart does do a great job bringing Bella Swan from the pages of the book to life! I loved her in this movie and no one else could have done a better job in this role than her! Great job to you Kristen!
ROBERT PATTINSON
Robert Pattinson plays Edward Cullen. The secret boy hiding a secret from Bella Swan and soon falls in love with her. His secret: Vampire. I thought Robert Pattinson was a great choice for Edward, I can’t really picture anyone else being him. I don’t know any other movies with Robert Pattinson, but if he is in other movies, you can search him on IMDB [internet movie data base].com. I don’t feel like checking. This computer is being a little slow today. Uhhhh, so, in conclusion, Robert Pattinson does a great job as the famous Edward Cullen. Good job to you Rob!
THE CHARACTERS: [SPOILERS]
BELLA SWAN:
Bella Swan. She’s 17. She goes to Forks High. She just moved in with her father, Charlie and has falling in love with Edward Cullen after discovering a shocking secret about him and his family: There a group of Veggie Vampires. Bella is really ordinary and doesn’t really fit in with the other kids but all she cares about is spending forever with her new love.
EDWARD CULLEN:
In love with Bella, but worried for her safety, has trouble and confusion about why he can’t read the mind of Bella Swan. It freaks him out that he can’t and wonders what is wrong.
THE GOOD OF THE MOVIE:
What’s the good of this movie? Everything! This movie is great. I love this movie. It follows the book pretty well, it could have added a couple more elements from the book but that’s all. This movie Is great. Besides, who wants to see what they already read. Of course there goanna change it up a bit! The movie has great acting, visuals, direction, a good plot, and all!
THE BAD OF THE MOVIE:
Is there even a bad to discuss? No! This movie, in my opinion, is perfection! So, if you haven’t seen “Twilight” see it! You either like or hate this movie. I LIKE IT! So go and see this right away!
VISUALS: [spoils]
I liked the visuals in this movie. They have a couple cool visual scenes. The running scene, the baseball scene, the James VS. Edward scene! All the visuals in this movie were great! I liked every visual part in this movie. A lot of people were complaining that the baseball scene looked stupid and fake, well who cares! That part was awesome! So, in my own opinion, you SHOULD NOT expect any bad visuals from the movie “Twilight”.
DIRECTION:
I thought Catherine Hardwicke did a good job directing this movie. I loved how she stepped up and directed this and brought it to the big screen for us fans. She directed the 2005 skating film “Lords of Dog town”. I, however, did not like that movie. But, “Twilight” is absolutely amazing it’s a must see. I think that this movie is absolutely amazing! You should see “Twilight” right away!
WORTH THE WATCH AGAIN:
Is “Twilight” worth another watch? Hell yea! I could watch this movie many times without getting bored of it! I love this movie. I’ve already seen It three times. Once in the movies, two at my friends house, and three when I just bought the special edition! This movie is great! Don’t rent it, BUY IT! Again, Don’t rent this, BUY IT!!!!!!!!
OVERALL:
Overall, buy “Twilight” and see it. Even if you did see it “Buy it”, it is worth the buy. This movie is great! It’s a five star movie, in my opinion, but who knows, you might feel the same way. Just see “Twilight”. It is a very awesome, great, and wonderful movie! See “Twilight”!
