Arrested Development: Season 1 DVD: Review By fredtopel

Arrested Development is a hilarious sitcom approaching the irreverence of Scrubs but with just a tad more formal structure. It's rare for a show to be this good in the first season, so this is definitely one to own.

There's a great variety of straight bonus features and irrevernt ones that match the tone of the show. The spot on being a future classic killed me, with most of the stars accepting defeat in the face of that compliment. Segments from a panel Q&A have some good sarcastic moments, and the main featurette really takes you inside the development, no pun intended, of the show. Things like the awards show acceptence are great archival materials to save for posterity. And the commentaries feature a funny group dynamic while also revealing solid information.

Arrested Development is a great DVD set. Great show content, great extras, the whole package.
