Dredd takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot - if necessary. The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and the frenetic vision of director Peter Travis bring Dredd to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film that returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra's revered comic strip.

Dredd 3D was released September 21st, 2012 and stars Karl Urban, Rachel Wood, Andile Mngadi, Porteus Xandau Steenkamp, Jason Cope, Emma Breschi, Olivia Thirlby, Rakie Ayola. The film is directed by Pete Travis.

He looks pretty spot on, a lot more like Dredd than the awful Stallone movie, his helmet isn't too big as everyone keeps- keeps- saying. Anderson looks awesome and the overall feel is pretty gritty. I'm just hoping the film remembers to have a sense of humour, as the whole point of Dredd is that it's a satire of American society, hence the crazy imperialist outfits, and faceless totalitarian look of Dredd. All in all I'm very interested in this film!

If its as violent as the comic i'm good... the stallone version really wasn't all that good anyway...plus i've liked karl urban since "Pathfinder", but the look on his face looks like he smells a big bag of sh#t!..lol

At least the helmet looks like the one from the comics and not the first film which was radically different, as for helmet size, who the f*ck cares?!

I find it comical that Empire chose to give Dredd central billing on it's Summer 2012 blockbuster preview, especially seeing as how Dredd is by far the most likely to go belly up at the box office.
