Does Tom Cruise Have a Cameo in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’?

Insiders claim that Tom Cruise met with Star Wars 7 director J.J. Abrams in London over the weekend, although the actors spokesperson denies the report.

Last week, we reported that Harrison Ford will be out for eight weeks after suffering an injury on the Star Wars: Episode VII set. According to British tabloid The Sun, this slight production hiccup has paved the way for a possible cameo appearance by Tom Cruise.

Here's what the unidentified insider had to say.

"Tom [Cruise] has been in London for over a week and met up with J.J. [Abrams] and some other people from Star Wars over the weekend. On Saturday evening five of them met up for dinner and drinks at the Belgravia Hotel. J.J. produced Mission: Impossible 5 and loves working with Tom whenever he gets the chance. Losing Harrison Ford [to a broken leg] is going to set things back a little scheduling wise and there's some time to play around with."

However, ET Canada reached out to a spokesperson for Tom Cruise, who revealed there is "no truth" to the report.

J.J. Abrams made his feature directorial debut with Mission: Impossible III, starring Tom Cruise, and he also served as producer for Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol and the upcoming Mission: Impossible 5.

Would you like to see Tom Cruise pop up in Star Wars: Episode VII? Chime in with your thoughts below. If he were to appear in Star Wars: Episode VII, it would mark his third sci-fi movie in a row, following last year's Oblivion and this summer's Edge of Tomorrow.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to theaters December 18th, 2015 and stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

I have to say no, No Tom Cruise in the trilogy.
If he shows up in the trilogy movies that will leave the door open for all of J.J.'s other friends and past actors he's worked with, then this movie will turn to crap because they will all need to have face time cameos and it will take away from the overall story of Star Wars.
If Tom Cruise is going to be in a Star Wars movie he has to be in a standalone, he has to protagonist, he has to wield a light saber, and he has to be killed by either Boba Fett or Yoda during the time between eps III and IV....I will see that movie over and over again.

Tom Cruise should be in most action movies, so that'd be pretty cool.

Tom in Star Wars, if it happens I would be dancing in my seat. If not then ah well.
He would be a good bounty hunter, a new character not old and have his own trilogy.
