Did Christopher Reeve Get a Split-Second CGI Cameo in ‘Man of Steel’?

It seems the late Superman star was added to director Zack Snyder’s superhero adventure via CGI.

Has director Zack Snyder found an innovative way to pay homage to Superman's past in Man of Steel? While no one likely saw it in theaters, the filmmaker may have found an intriguing way to add Christopher Reeve into his big screen blockbuster in a unique shot with Henry Cavill. Take a look at this photo to see this Superman blockbuster pay tribute to the late actor.

If They Really Wanted to Honor Christopher Reeve-They Shouldn't Have Made This OVERBLOWN Mess and They Should have Done a Movie That Makes Sence...Clark Works For the Daily Planet at The End-Over 75% Of Metropolis Was Destroyed or heavily Damanged and he's going to work There???? I Think Not!!!!!!

I saw it right off the bat and both me and my wife just looked at each other for a second. I didn't want to sound like a nerd, then she said "Doesn't that look like Christopher Reeve?" I was amazed because she is not in to these movies like I am and she saw it. We saw it before hearing about anyone writing about it so it wasn't just in our heads.

I noticed this opening night. And the second I witnessed this phenomena I cried. Many will never know just how much Christopher Reeve, a native of Chicago, like I, was born to wear that cape.

Just saw man of steel, and noticed it also. Had a little tear in my eye , jk, but was a nice touch if it was deliberate

@Celestialforthcoming I noticed Christopher Reeves whole face on there, when it goes to his face on there. Not just his lips.

About time MW reported this, the rumor has been going around since the films release...An I'm a believer that i saw Reeves for a few seconds during that scene and got a big smile on my face when I saw it :D

If Snyder confirms it, this IMO is the best easter egg in a film EVER

@WalterWhite I agree. I think it's just a bit of wishful thinking. Honestly, I just don't see it. But because I don't see it doesn't make it untrue either. If it is true, I'd have to agree that this is one of the best easter eggs featured in a film. Personally though, it just seems like the angle of his face and his similar features playing a part in the illusion.

Whoa, never caught this in the movie. It seemed like a bit of a stretch, but after looking at the image a few times it becomes pretty clear. That's an awesome way to do a cameo!

Yes, I knew it, I knew I saw Christopher Reeve for just a moment in that part!!! If they really did alter his face to look like Reeve's for a second, or if it was a trick of the eye, I think it was cool. If they did, I think that was a nice little nod to the late actor who first brought Superman to life on the big screen. I've heard people say that Reeve's Superman made you believe a man could fly or do impossible things, and I think it was only right to show his image in this triumphant moment when this Superman was about to do something practically impossible; fly straight through a powerful energy beam and tear through a giant machine, all while in an area that had nearly the same conditions of Krypton (that render his powers useless) and massive gravity fluctuations.

I noticed it but wasnt sure until several other people on sites commented about it. You can definitely tell it's a quick image of Reeve in the shot. Was very cool

Well someone on here wasn't impressed with the film and I haven't seen it yet. As of this tid bit, I don't believe it because neither Nolan or Synder announced it.
