Diane Kruger Joins ‘Special Forces’

Djimon Hounsou, Denis Menochet and Benoit Magimel also star in the Afghanistan-set kidnap drama.

Diane Kruger has signed on to star in Special Forces, a $12.6-million Afghanistan-set kidnap drama, according to Variety.

Kruger will play a French journo kidnapped by the Taliban.

The film, which will be shot with the help of the French army, is in the vein of Black Hawk Down, said StudioCanal chairman-CEO Olivier Courson.

Special Forces was released October 12th, 2012 and stars Diane Kruger, Djimon Hounsou, Benoît Magimel, Denis Menochet, Raphaël Personnaz, Alain Figlarz, Alain Alivon, Mehdi Nebbou. The film is directed by Stéphane Rybojad.
