Earlier this week, test footage from the comic book adaptation Deadpool leaked online, which was later confirmed to be real by the character's creator, Rob Liefeld and released in high definition just a few days later. Today, screenwriter Rhett Reese, who is working on the script with his Zombieland and G.I. Joe Retaliation writing partner Paul Wernick, released a behind-the-scenes photo from the set, featuring Ryan Reynolds wearing a motion capture suit. Deadpool has been in development for quite some time, with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick signing on to write the script way back in January 2010. Tim Miller is attached to direct, but it still isn't clear when this may go into production, after so many years of being stuck in development.

Perhaps the test footage leak will generate enough buzz to warrant 20th Century Fox giving the gestating project the green light. Are you excited to see Deadpool on the big screen? Chime in with your thoughts below.
