The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

It is time. For Frodo to overcome the wickedness of Gollum, the horrifying attack of the colossal arachnid Shelob and the soul-twisting allure of a ring that resists destruction. For Aragorn to take up the sword of his forebears and the crown of his birthright. For the mighty clash that wizard Gandalf calls "the great battle of our time." And for the inspired culmination of the films based on J.R.R. Tolkien's literary classic. For the third time, a Rings movie was a Best Picture Academy Award nominee and for the first time it claimed that prize (plus 10 more). The King deserves its crown.

I first read the books when they came out in America in the late 60s. I firmly believe the Professor saved my life with Middle Earth by reminding me that there is more to any story than what we see on the surface.
Recently I've started a huge wonderful professional educational program which will provide me with work I can do, healthily, into my 80s. Part of how I'm financing it is to sell my books and movies. While I haven't sold my extended Trilogy DVDs, I won't be buying the Blu-ray set- I need the money for school. But I'd love to have them-. Again [rather late in life] I'm starting on a perilous journey to "save my land" - Nine Companions & friends along the way would be most welcome.
    Thank you.

I first "Lord of the Rings" when I was seven! I loved them from the start. I read the books at age 11, I am in love with them even now! I've followed the journey ever since 2001! I dressed up as Lord of the Rings characters for Halloween for three years in a row. I've acted out scenes, filmed parodies, and studied every little detail of the trilogy. My two copies of the books are in shreds from being read, creased, folded, and carried everywhere with me! I have Elvish dictionaries, the "Complete Guide to Middle Earth," two copies of the books, many of Tolkien's other works, posters, dresses, capes, and swords. I have the theatrical releases on VHS & DVD, as well as the Extended. The only thing I'm missing is the Trilogy on Blu-Ray! This will complete my shrine :)

Just because I'd like to see them all fresh and crisp, even if it's "only" the theatrical versions. LotR and Middle Earth saved my life, back in the day- once in print, and once again on disc/in theatres.
