Marc Webb teases The Gentleman and The Sinister Six in The Amazing Spider-Man 3
Director Marc Webb was in San Diego yesterday for his upcoming superhero sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where he teased the possibility of The Sinister Six appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Sony Pictures confirmed last month that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is coming in 2016, with The Amazing Spider-Man 4 debuting in 2018. When asked about possible villains for these sequels, the director slyly mentioned The Gentleman.

"What about The Gentleman? Think about the Gentleman. I'm just saying. Put that in your... There's your little tidbit. Think about The Gentleman. I'm just saying, think about The Gentleman."

The Gentleman debuted in the novel Spider-Man: The Gathering of the Sinister Six as an incredibly wealthy man who formed this super-villain group to get revenge on Peter Parker, whose parents were involved in the death of his brother. There were several incarnations of The Sinister Six throughout the years, with villains such as Electro, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Vulture, and Sandman. It is possible also that the director is using The Gentleman as a stand-alone villain.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes to theaters May 2nd, 2014 and stars Martin Sheen, Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Dane DeHaan, Stan Lee, Sarah Gadon, Felicity Jones, Jamie Foxx. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 comes to theaters June 10th, 2016. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

To all of you nay sayers @Kill-Bill and @shuabert
I might not of been 100% correct, but I called it and you guys can go suck an egg!
I said 7 months ago that the Sinister Six would be the perfect plot with the King Pin financing them. Of course now with DD going back to Marvel, the King Pin is more of a DD villain than Spider-Man making a cross over less likely, but still.... I called it.

The Gentleman, huh? Is that who visited Dr. Conners at the end of 1? Or am I mistaken?

So much potential with so many characters to juggle, if Marc Webb pulls this off he deserves Joss Whedon-level praise.. Can't fkn wait!!

They better start having cross overs with DD and F4 soon, since King Pin is a thorn in their butts.

If they really want to do it this way, then start writing it while 2 is being made. So when 3 goes into production, it'll be time to write the fourth outing.
I better watch Amazing for the next two weeks.

Would be a nice way to set up the fourth film. Have the 3rd movie build up to Sinister Six and have them as the main villains in the grand finale of The Amazing Spider-Man 4.
