Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hit Hall H at the San Diego convention center today as part of Fox's big line-up. A first look photo debuted during the madness featuring Caeser (Andy Serkis), his face covered in war paint, as he leads his ape army against the humans. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes to theaters July 11th, 2014 and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Judy Greer, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano. The film is directed by Matt Reeves.

    @ghostman If that's part of the story then i'm all for it. That seems to be great way of dealing with the "how the hell did humans lose" scenario.

    did not know about that, with that the whole thing changed cause I don't think that on the first movie we got to see all of Caesar's intellect so we may come to find a new Caesar here.

    @h-ryuga@bruce-ha Hey guys, there was this thing called the Simian Flu that killed off almost half the human population on earth. Only Apes are immune to it, in which they can survive. This takes place 10 years after Rise, seemingly a band of human survivors are alive and are fighting back against Caesar.
