Back in 2004, Thomas Jane starred in Lionsgate's The Punisher, a reboot of the popular Marvel Comics character which failed to make a dent in theaters, taking in just $33 million at the domestic box office. Eight years later, the actor is back as Frank Castle in the short film The Punsher: Dirty Laundry, that made its debut Saturday night at San Diego Comic-Con. Today we have the entire 10-minute short, that also stars Ron Perlman, and was directed by Phil Joanou. Take a look at the short, and read on for a statement by Thomas Jane about this star-studded fan film.

"I wanted to make a fan film for a character I've always loved and believed in - a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish -- we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it."

The Punsher: Dirty Laundry was released July 13th, 2012 and stars Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, Sammi Rotibi, Brandee Tucker, Karlin Walker. The film is directed by Phil Joanou.

Thomas Jane was hands down the best Punisher ever. This short is why he was the best and should be brought back. I hope he returns for another one.
