COMIC-CON 2012: The Evil Dead Logo Revealed!

The best thing about The Evil Dead remake coming from director Federico Alvarez is that original director Sam Raimi is involved as a producer and creative consultant. The second best thing is that it stars Suburgatory's Jane Levy. The third best thing just might be the fact that they're definitely paying homage to the original with their marketing campaign. Comic-Con 2012 has provided a first official look at The Evil Dead logo, and it certainly recalls cult memories of a past decade in film. Check it out.

Evil Dead was released April 5th, 2013 and stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, Elizabeth Blackmore, Phoenix Connolly, Jim McLarty, Sian Davis. The film is directed by Fede Alvarez.

    Wait a sec, I thought Raimi blocked this because him and Bruce Campbell were going to make a 4th film in the franchise. Not that I care but kind of a WTF moment.

    I can't say i'm personally happy that a remake is happening and not a sequel, but i am happy the franchise has some life. People just need to realize that the general public would not care about an evil dead 4. Most kids today don't even know what it is,Alot of younger people look at these older films and see just that, OLD. They don't make movies for fans they make movies for money. When Mr. Krueger got remade i finally stopped caring, just accept it,it's going to happen to all of our favorites.......oh god poor phantasm
