COMIC-CON 2012: Iron Man 3 Panel and Videos with Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle!

Marvel Studios hit Comic-Con 2012 hard today with huge surprises from Iron Man 3. Iron Man/Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr., showed up unannounced to oversee the children's costume contest and entertain the massive crowd of fans that gathered in Hall H. Director Shane Black, executive producer Jon Favreau and Don Cheadle were also onhand to take Comic-Con by storm. Check out photos and videos from the events below.

Marvel Studios has also launched the official website for Iron Man 3 at Marvel.com/IronMan3. The site only features a gallery with two previously-released photos, a link to the sequel's page, and a form to register for updates, for now. Be sure to check back for more updates as we near closer to the May 3, 2013 release date.

In other Iron Man 3 news, Stephanie Szostak (Dinner for Schmucks) has joined the cast in an unspecified role. Here's what the actress had to say about the production so far.

"It's a thrill to be part of the incredible Iron Man franchise. Production has been incredibly exciting."

Iron Man 3 was released May 3rd, 2013 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale. The film is directed by Shane Black.

That's awesome that Jon Favreau came back as Executive Producer. Last I had heard I think from last year was he was out of Marvel Studios films altogether. And Scarlett Johansson in the cast list again? That's also news to me; I thought she wasn't going to be in IM3.

Just saw "The Avengers". I thought it was the best of the Marvel Comics adaptations. Hopefully "Iron Man 3" will be just as good, and dare I say it, even better.
