Fox confirms director Josh Trank for the Fantastic Four reboot
We first reported on his potential involvement with the remake back in January, before Chronicle opened in theaters. Fox president Tom Rothman indicated in April that he was hopeful the filmmaker would sign on. Fox will begin production on Fantastic Four after shooting wraps on two more superhero projects, The Wolverine and the X-Men: First Class Sequel.
In related yet opposite news, director David Slade has dropped out of the studio's Untitled Daredevil Reboot. Fox is said to be keen on the screenplay, most recently worked on by David James Kelly, but the director couldn't fit it into his schedule, due to his commitment to direct the Hannibal pilot. Fox has to get production started this fall, or they risk the rights reverting back to Marvel Studios.
Fox has also hired Attack the Block director Joe Cornish to helm Rust, from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna. The story is being compared to E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, centering on a struggling family of farmers whose lives are turned upside down when a mysterious robot wanders onto their land.
Fantastic Four comes to theaters March 6th, 2015. The film is directed by Josh Trank.

let it all go back to Disney/ Marvel..and let them do the right things...all the heroes and villians under one banner in stead of split to the four winds.. it has hurt some franchises..(x men and ghost rider come to mind).even though a director has been chosen for the ff reboot it cant go forward with out one thing called a cast..

Never cared for Chronicle. I have low hopes for this now but stranger things have happened.

DC needs to take note on what Marvel has done so far. In the first time in film history, a world has formed and it'll catch on.
I would welcome a Bourne and Bond adventure.

I enjoyed the first two f4 and DareDevil, however I also see it as an improvement for these new films.
My hope is that there better be crossovers from now on, Spidey and these two franchises come hand in hand. They are meant to be connected as well as several other Marvel characters we all know and enjoy.

Why reboot? Can't they just keep going and just make better stories.

To me, this means I'll find the beginning incredible boring but the final boss fight is going to make me sh*t bricks with excitement! I'm in.

I'm rooting for the Daredevil film to fall through. If they're gonna follow the " Born Again" arc, I'd rather wait until it's able to be done properly, as a later film in a series, not the first film.

Anybody else think its funny that Slade dropped out of a Marvel film to direct a tv pilot? Just goes to show how f*cked that whole production is..

the Narrator
I'm iffy about this. I just hope he's not the primary writer.
