Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced the official titles for sequels Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World at the studio's Hall H Comic-Con panel today.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier seems to confirm the return of Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes in the sequel. In the comic books, Bucky nearly dies in a plane explosion over Moscow, where scientists attach a bionic arm and program him as an assassin. He also had a brief relationship with The Black Widow in another comic book story arc. As for Thor: The Dark World, we're not quite sure what this "dark world" really is.

In related Marvel news, it was also confirmed that Ben Kingsley is in fact playing The Mandarin in Iron Man 3. We reported back in April that the actor signed on, although insiders were adamant that he was not playing this particular villain. Director Shane Black was also present at the panel, where he revealed that they are halfway through principal photography.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes to theaters April 4th, 2014 and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Robert Redford, Frank Grillo. The film is directed by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo.

Thor: The Dark World comes to theaters November 8th, 2013 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston. The film is directed by Alan Taylor.

I love how people are complaining about subtitles, like they're indicative of how the movie will turn out. Remember how many people complained on MW about The Dark Knight Rises, saying it was lazy, lame, or the "R" should have stood for "Returns?" I do. Are these same people saying TDKR is a lame or lazy title? No, because they're too busy wetting themselves in anticipation of Friday.

@themoviefanatic granted it is a year ago the article was written, prior to avengers 2 however the writers of the first film are still attached to the second which gives this idea and quote a very good probability that it will happen, if they can make it work.

@themoviefanatic "Well, our hope is that there is room [to return to W.W. II in 'Captain America 2'] and we're negotiating how to do that now. The story will likely be in the present day. We're experimenting with flashback elements for more period World War II stuff. I can't say much more than that but we made [the first 'Captain America' movie] baggy enough to refer to more stories in the past."

@incmob I've heard that Captain America: The Winter Soldier will take place in the present day. But, i have not heard that there will flash back scenes of the past. Where did you hear that there will be flash back scenes of the past ?

@ROFLitschristian I agree. If they were to just add the number "2" at the end of both movies titles, then i think that just would of been lazy on their part.

I found Cap America was kinda boring in parts, I still think they should have left him in the past.
Thor was awesome and played out the way it should, part two sounds interesting.

Loving the Winter Soldier title. The Dark World? Eh, I guess it's better than just a 2.

Cool, I like the titles. Although I still can't believe the directors of You, Me and Dupree are directing this...

i dont understand how Captain America (2) can play out. i mean he's not in his time anymore after the way part1 ended. i mean its not like he went thru some time machine and poped out in another life time. the way it happened was..reasonable. Unless that was all a lie and he could go back to save the woman he left behind.
On the other hand if his "own" film takes place in present day, wouldnt iron man help him? even if the others went back to their time. its gonna be confusing i bet.

Hell Yes, at least is different, than Iron Man with numbers, on the title. How they will call The Avengers 2??? and they should call Iron Man 3, Iron Man: The Armored Avenger?
