SDCC 2010: The Strange Case of Hyde Coming to the Big Screen
David Ellison's Skydance Prods., Dark Horse Entertainment and producer Mark Gordon have teamed up for the project.
The Strange Case of Hyde is not a retelling of the story but seeks to give it a fresh take by making the split personality the center of a Victorian-era action-adventure that sees him go head-to-head against a historical villain. Dark Horse will unveil the comic book this week at Comic-Con.
"Mr. Hyde is one of my favorite literary villains, but he hasn't been given his due on the big screen for the better part of a century," said Haddon, who also will write the screenplay. "I'm excited to be playing a part in restoring him to his proper place in the pantheon of movie monsters: at the top of the food chain."
The Strange Case of Hyde is in development .

The Narrator: The Better Man
No! Don't do this. Del Toro is making a Dr. Jeckyl/Mr. Hyde film with Keanu Reeves as the protagonist. Then there's another film coming out about the same creature. And now this? You are going to over swamp the crowds, and by the time Del Toro finishes his film, people will be fed up with it all. Bollocks!

I hope Keanu is in this, he needs a solid film to be in now.
