Come up with new ideas. Stop rehashing what was good 20 years ago. Don't defend remakes. You look stupid.
I grasp your point and clearly agree and so does Englund his is getting old and the scenes were too much for him and he said that was why FVJ took long to finish production because he got tired really quick...
I'm a massive die hard Nightmare fan, i've outline a pre-sequel treatment for the Nightmare franchise and the original Nightmare on Elm Street was the first horror i watched when i was 4, and even to this day its still my fav film of all time.
I never wanted another installment or a remake/reboot.....What i wanted as a diehard Nightmare fan and sincerly in my opinion, you aint a die hard Nightmare fan if you disagree...Which is....Jackie Earle Hayley in a Nightmare Prequel as the Springwood Slahser...
But you see the problem is many people, especially fans dont like change and some refuse to accept it
I get your point, you enjoy it cause its Freddy. As well as @Brian i 'll get urs in a bit....I have yet to see the remake, gonna watch it in a bit,
I got tickets to a special screening and unfortunatly couldn't go due to other business matters at hand....
Now this special screening showed the remake and the original back to back in the cinema.....People fell asleep in through the remake and cheered waking up to the original i think that says something for hardcore freddy fans, cause halve the theatre was dressed as Kruger...
JEH pulled it off as human kruger, not monter kruger
The remake overall was a mistake.....Prequel is what should have happened
A second Nightmare has been greenlit . Don't hate the messenger hate the people that decided to have a sequel.
I might see it when it comes on DVD.
