Peter Jackson made his first every appearance at Comic-Con this year to discuss the making of District 9. When we caught up with him for an interview, he told us all about the recent pre-production happening about the upcoming The Lord of the Rings prequel, The Hobbit. The Hobbit and The Hobbit Sequel will be directed by Guillermo del Toro and set to hit theaters in November of 2011 and November 2012.

District 9 was released August 14th, 2009 and stars Sharlto Copley, Jason Cope, Nathalie Boltt, Sylvaine Strike, Elizabeth Mkandawie, John Sumner, William Allen Young, Greg Melvill-Smith. The film is directed by Neill Blomkamp.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey comes to theaters December 14th, 2012 and stars Cate Blanchett, Saoirse Ronan, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Martin Freeman, David Tennant, Ian McKellen, Christopher Lee. The film is directed by Peter Jackson.

The Hobbit: There and Back Again comes to theaters December 13th, 2013 and stars Ron Perlman, Hugo Weaving, Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Doug Jones, Kiran Shah, Billy Connolly.
