SDCC 2009: EXCL VIDEO: Joe Dante Talks About Another Gremlins Movie!

While promoting his new 3D film The Hole at Comic-Con this year, we asked director Joe Dante about the possibility of another Gremlins film making it's way back to the big screen. Check out what he had to say...



The last film, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, was released in 1990 and has left fans drooling for more ever since. Stay tuned for more as this story develops.

Gremlins was released June 8th, 1984 and stars Hoyt Axton, John Louie, Keye Luke, Don Steele, Susan Burgess, Scott Brady, Arnie Moore, Corey Feldman. The film is directed by Joe Dante.

    I agree, bring back puppets, model ships, matte paintings, and animated cartoons... everything has gone to cgi. as far as a gremlins 3 if they did do a sequel get the same team back, if not then do a prequel or reboot, but keep the same humor dont just make it a parody of itself or a straight horror film.

    hmm an orgin maybe good.. i love the gremlins but def no remake, a 3rd or orgin would be great but def not in cgi tho.. they need to bring puppets back!!!
