Co-director Joe Russo spoke out about his upcoming Marvel Phase Two sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and revealed that it has a very strong connection to The Avengers: Age of Ultron. The bridge between the two films is the strongest between any of the previous Marvel movies yet, and its hinted that Ultron will actually be created, or in the first stages of creation at the end of Captain America 2.

Here's what the director had to say:

"There's a very strong connection in the narrative between the events of the end of Marvel's The Avengers that drive this film [Captain America: The Winter Soldier] and there's a very strong hand off to The Avengers: Age of Ultron at the end of this movie. And Kevin Feige's whole thing is that this is the biggest bridge of all of Phase 2 movies; it really is. It does involve the most amount of Avengers of any of the films in Phase 2, and it has sort of a, you know, there's a very big shift in the universe at the end of this movie."

What do you think? Will Ultron make his debut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier? It sure sounds like it.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released April 4th, 2014 and stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo. The film is directed by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Joss Whedon.

Avengers: Age of Ultron comes to theaters May 1st, 2015 and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

Now that its been confirmed that Pym is not the creator of Ultron in the movie but he is the sequel's villain, my theory seems to be true. S.H.I.E.L.D will ultimately be the creator of Ultron. Remember, they still have the advanced robot "The Destroyer" from Asgard that Thor battled in his first movie and stated in The Avengers they've tried to match their tech. Also, in The Avengers, Phase 2 was a reference to the advanced weapons they made. What if one of the advanced weapons created wasn't just a handheld gun like Coulson used but a robotic lifeform using The Destroyer as a template and tesseract to power it?

If he appears, more than likely it will be an end credits easter egg with him being made by Tony Stark cause Hank Pym is not going to be in Avengers 2 according to Joss Whedon, they are saving Hank for when his film is released.

They will have to expose Ultron early so the GA will know who he is. He really is an obscure villain that only the CB community are aware of.

I think Ultron will come from the future, still created by Hank Pym..but will try to create an alternate reality or something

@h-ryuga who knows. But even though that's still very far off. It's way better than tony stank creating it! Especially after iron man 3 and destroying all his suits and creating Jarvis and dealing with extremis this wouldn't make any sense

this make me think that it may not be T.S who create the Robot but SHIELD
