@CoreyB Yes, but even though it is their problem, hopefully it won't be someone they choose to play Batman that we wouldn't want to see play Batman. That's what I am worried about.

@CoreyB If they don't get Christian Bale back, then who do you think could play Batman? Or who do you think will play Batman?

@themoviefanatic The problem is they shouldnt be finding a new Batman this early...its a smack in the face to Nolan's. Too soon. I cant believe Nolan is attached to produce. Get Bale bacK!

@Derek-Erny I really believe that Hugh Jackman can be that true Batman or going in with a lesser known Actor Luke Evans can do it. Both Actors have the talent to fit into this realistic universe and I think they can be the best Batman

This could totally work if they set it up right. Everybody looking at it as a Superman/Batman movie but its still Supermans movie I think it was a great idea to introduce a new batman in MOS2. The next Batman needs to be bigger as in story wise. Batman have so many levels so its so many ways you can bring him to the sceen. It's just all about good casting but it's doable

Love the logo, though i hope its an early concept and they stylize it more to fit how bad ass the new batman will be...

@Y2Jliontamer...though i loved Bales perfomance as Bruce/ Batman, yeah he was lacking a bit the qualities of fully being Batman...Whatever they next, they have to have batman as a full fledged martial artist, intelligent detective and all around intimidating figure to the bad guys.

As I've said before, my vote goes to Matt Bomer to the new Batman

Just as Freddy vs Jason was a cross over film with two kinds horror movie character in which neither was a second character for the other's movie title, Superman vs Batman should NOT be a Man of Steel 2 movie. Man of Steel; should only be a Superman only movie Franchise. In Iron-man, Black Widow and Fury was secondary characters playing support for story inside Iron-man to build up for Avengers. After Avengers, only War Machine was in Iron-man 3, because that suit is a backup character with in the Iron-man world. Man of Steel 2 should have introduced Lex. Then Batman vs Superman lead to a teaming up of a major Batman villain with a Superman villain. Like Lex and Joker, who have did so many times. I have no doubt, with how they rebuild my faith with Batman Begins story Arc, and Man of Steel, they will do great with it. But that to me, does not fit the best path. Batman vs Superman is in fact a set up test for JLA. While they do not want to risk hurting the franchise, like they did with Joel Shumacher's Batman Forever and Batman and Robin films and then Singer's Superman Returns. But I will no doubt be watching this to see what ends up being the top DC film ever made, and been hoped for.

@Brizzy Fine, I will try to keep an open-mind on this project. Just one thing though. Although one thing is for certain: Who the hell is gonna play Bruce Wayne AKA Batman for this new movie since Christian Bale is no longer gonna play Batman?

  19. Brizzy

@mr-k Also, Joe jumped to HUGE assumptions aswell, just like every pessimist does. Snyder told EVERYONE AT COMIC CON THAT IT WONT BE BASED OFF OF TDKR, so why the hell do they keep thinking it will?

@mr-k Noone gives a sh*t about that guys oppinion dude.. He's just ONE guy in the bunch. As for the future of DC Comics, it's looking really bright. Considering the fact that writing has already started and the premiere is in 2 f*cking years, it's got alot of time to come out the right way, which Snyder, Goyer and Nolan surely can manage. What's the point in having another solo Man of Steel movie? We got everything about him in the last one. Also, after this one Flash is coming out, they're not moving straight to JL. "Most likely be ruined by bad decision making by DC Comics and Warner Bros.", that's the dumbest assumption I think I've ever read. What in the blue hell makes you think that for even a second? This is the granddaddy movie of comic books. The 2 most recognized and populair heroes of all time in the same movie, wrap your f*cking head around that for a second. They will be treating this movie with extreme caution and respect, if anything.

  21. moviemouse

Hope they change the logo, it was a no brainer to do this, it could make just as much money a JL movie and they dont need to rush anything

  22. Mr.K

@bawnian-dexeus But he has a point. As much as I'm happy that Superman/Batman will be together on screen, I don't really want WB to rush this project. They should just do ONE more solo Superman movie then the Batman/Superman crossover movie and THEN, The Justice League movie.... Although, the project will still be screwed and it will most likely be ruined by bad decision making by DC Comics and Warner Bros. Still, I have some hope for this project but the future isn't looking bright for DC Comics.

@superman81 is totally on point saying this will bring in big bucks for WB. Batman is the most bankable superhero in the world, and Supes is not too shabby either. Still, I can't help but think this is the wrong move for the DCU. Although this film will surely be a big hit, I think it might be wiser for WB/DC to put someone that needs to be established with Superman. For example, they could have centered the film around the race between Flash and Superman. This way, not only can they continue to develop Superman as a character, they could also give Flash a nice platform to be introduced, without the pressures of having to carry the film. Don't get me wrong; Batman and Superman teaming is a great idea that should happen. I'm just not sure that Bats needs to be introduced at this point in the game. He's the only "sure thing." The other characters of JLA, be it Flash, WW, or GL, are the ones that may require the type of support that a duo film would bring.

This crossover should be left for it's own film rather than for Man Of Steel 2.

@shuabert I honestly wasn't too crazy about Christian Bale playing Batman. He was definitely great as Batman, but I'm confident that they will find a great actor to play the role of Batman.

I understand what you are saying. You are looking for something more true to the comic book Batman. Let me ask this, who do you have in mind to be cast in that roll that could pull that off?

    1 year agoby @Derek-ErnyFlag

  29. TheDude1

@shuabert Most reviews give the film a good rating. However the ones that are hard on it overall dislike it because of silly things like it is different from the Donner films. And don't expect a Nolan type Batman in that movie. Those days are over and rightfully so. That Batman does not fit in the JL universe.
