COMIC-CON 2012: Watch ‘The Punisher: Dirty Laundry’ with Thomas Jane

The actor reprises his role from the 2004 reboot alongside Ron Perlman in this 10-minute short that debuted at Comic-Con Saturday night.

Back in 2004, Thomas Jane starred in Lionsgate's The Punisher, a reboot of the popular Marvel Comics character which failed to make a dent in theaters, taking in just $33 million at the domestic box office. Eight years later, the actor is back as Frank Castle in the short film The Punsher: Dirty Laundry, that made its debut Saturday night at San Diego Comic-Con. Today we have the entire 10-minute short, that also stars Ron Perlman, and was directed by Phil Joanou. Take a look at the short, and read on for a statement by Thomas Jane about this star-studded fan film.

"I wanted to make a fan film for a character I've always loved and believed in - a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish -- we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it."

The Punsher: Dirty Laundry was released July 13th, 2012 and stars Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, Sammi Rotibi, Brandee Tucker, Karlin Walker. The film is directed by Phil Joanou.

This was badass, what should have been The Punisher film with Jane. He hated all that corny crap and was the reason he dropped out of the sequel. He did this for the fans without Marvel's permission and wants to do a new one if they do it like this. I say yes! WTF Marvel?

@this-site-blows They used a score that wasn't theirs instead of writing their own.. ripped off...

@Steven-Hunter-Craft They used the music from The Dark Knight... they didn't rip it off. There's a difference.

@Steven-Hunter-Craft Yes I agree, but it is still pretty sweet!

I hate that they ripped off the Dark Knights score... but other than that, it would make an awesome first 10 minutes to a Punisher movie.

This needs to happen! And I agree that it doesn't need to be a remake. Just continue where the first Punisher left off!

They don't need a reboot, just continue from when he was driving off. And who ever decided to remove him from the other punisher film should be fire along with writers!

This was awesome, but the Hans Zimmer "The Dark Knight" soundtrack took me out of it. Still a good watch anyway.

there is going to be another reboot of it but I rather see Thomas return and have the other two show up as gangsters or mob related.

It would need the feel of a dirty harry but darker in style, Martin Scorsese would be a good fit to direct it.

@aylagas55 This isn't official. It's just a fan film which happens to star the actual guy who played Punisher. Not licensed by Marvel in any way.

That being said, the soundtrack from TDK is so burned into my brain that it's almost distracting listening to it here (even though it's really well used).
