Chris Pratt to Replace Josh Brolin in ‘Jurassic World’

The actor still has to sort through his ‘Parks and Recreation’ schedule before a deal is made. Plus, Irrfan Khan is eyeing a supporting role.

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is in early talks to join Jurassic World. No character details were given, but it is the same role that Josh Brolin was in talks for last month, although a deal was never finalized.

The talks between Universal Pictures and Chris Pratt are said to be in the very early stages, and the actor would have to iron out any possible scheduling conflicts with the sequel and his NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, if it is renewed for another season. The actor doesn't have any other film projects lined up at this time.

The production is also courting Irrfan Khan (Life of Pi,The Amazing Spider-Man) for a supporting role, although no details were given for that character either. Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins are the only confirmed actors on board thus far, although we reported last month that a casting call gave Idris Elba top billing in the sequel.

Colin Trevorrow is directing from a script he co-wrote with his Safety Not Guaranteed writing partner Derek Connolly.

Chris Pratt will next be seen in the DreamWorks comedy Delivery Man and the upcoming indie Her.

Jurassic World comes to theaters June 12th, 2015 and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus, Nick Robinson. The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow.

i bet Irrfan Khan dies in this1. lol.

On other news.. i hope this is the jurassic park we always wanted after the first film. rather than just another jp with younger stars.
I would at least hope that org. cast members...timmy and lex return as adults who could own part of the island now that "grandpa" AKA John Hammond has died if that could work. but i would hate to see them both in hot-water after jp has 1s again lost control of the park.
Another way it could work was if they only showed both of em as a cameo role at the beganing of the film, then at the very end who return to the island and saves the remaining of the people. kinda like they saved jp in the first film with the computer systems.

I do like him. He will bring a humor to the film. I suppose. But yea I like to see what he brings and what his character on the movie is. I guess dinosaurs never really die in the land of film. Hope it turns out to be a classic for the times to come.
