‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Set Photo Reveals Hayley Atwell Spoiler!

Production continues in Cleveland on this Marvel Phase Two sequel starring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers.

The latest photos from the Captain America: The Winter Soldier set both confirm an earlier report, and add a new wrinkle to this story of a man misplaced in time.

Be warned, there are Major Spoilers! throughout the rest of the story, so read on at your own risk.

These photos show the return of Captain America: The First Avenger star Hayley Atwell as an elderly version of Peggy Carter in scenes that take place in present day. Take a look at these photos of her meeting with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), then read on for more information.

By request, these photos have been removed.

We reported in February that Hayley Atwell is coming back as Peggy Carter in a flashback scene. While that may still be the case, it obviously isn't the full story. The scene in question that Hayley Atwell shot is set in the present day, when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) visits a retirement home to catch up with some of his old World War II buddies. It isn't clear how large Hayley Atwell's role is at this time, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more details come to light.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released April 4th, 2014 and stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo. The film is directed by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Joss Whedon.

@ghostman It might be. Or maybe she making a cameo appearance in it as an older woman in the movie.
