Marvel has scheduled reshoots for Captain America: The Winter Soldier starting next week. It isn't yet clear which cast members will be back for the additional photography, or what new story elements are being worked into the screenplay.

Shooting will take place on December 16 and December 17, before going on break for the holidays. Everyone involved will then resume work in January for two more weeks. As of now, it isn't known where this additional photography will take place.

Reshoots have become commonplace on Marvel Studios productions, and practically every big-budget shoot, for that matter. Marvel went back for reshoots on both of this year's blockbusters Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, the second of which had additional scenes involving Loki (Tom Hiddleston) added.

Chris Evans reprises his role as Steve Rogers/Captain America from Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel's The Avengers, with Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), and Cobie Smulders (Agent Maria Hill) returning as well. Sebastian Stan returns as Steve Rogers' old friend Bucky Barnes, who has transformed himself into the villainous Winter Soldier. Robert Redford, Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo also star. The story follows Captain America and Black Widow as they team up to fight the Winter Soldier in present-day Washington D.C.
