@superman81 About Superman telling off the Military:

I liked it, like he told them, they're afraid of him because they can't control him, but it doesn't make him their enemy. He's Superman and the last thing he needs is somebody as selfish and untrustworthy as the military keeping tabs on him.

@superman81@justinishulk Oh, So that's what remember seeing him in once. I don't know if like that idea of him Lex Luthor, but I just don't know, maybe he would play Lex Luthor pretty well.

Been watching the foreign numbers for MOS this morning and it looks like it did really well. Looks like it pulled around 25 mil in China. Box office mojo updated their foreign numbers and has the international box office at nearly 190 mil. It's a far cry from IM3 but still good.

just read the article from your link
it's seems that while the numbers are not as good in the US government in the other countries they will continue to grow.

maybe they would be even better if our MoS was chinese

@justinishulk Mark Strong ? Isn't that the actor who played Sinestro in the Green Lantern movie ?

@ghostman careful der mate, facts are not welcome here... DC fanboys will come after you comparing MoS with IronMan 1 which was released 5 yrs ago in 2D. They dont have brains to think MoS is in 3D + what was the ticket cost 5 yes ago.

I agree to every word you have said - cant be explained better!!

I got to admit, I'm absolutely shocked by these numbers for WWZ. That film was getting dumped on so much by basically everyone, including Brad Pitt, if rumors are true. So, congrats on being a relevant hit, WWZ, and not the bust that you were almost universally predicted to be.

@h-ryuga It will end up at +800 million total, around 250 million more than the first Iron-Man.

So I would say they are pretty good numbers for a franchise-starter.

Rumor: Zack Snyder For Mark Strong As Lex Luthor For Man of Steel 2 ??

Sometimes I wonder is this site is run by a bunch of interns who make coffee for Kevin Feige over at Marvel boot camp.

@thedude1 Except for Cars 2. It may have opened at number 1, but is the least grossing Pixar film making under $200 million.

Huge rumor but could be true that Snyder wants Mark Strong to be Lex Luthor is the sequel. I am sure he signed a multi picture deal when he signed on for GL and since GL2 doesnt look to happening, I say why not? He was that type of ruthless villain in Kick ass

Lol the marvel fan boys and MOS haters are running rampant on this. MOS did very well considering it was up against two movies that appeal to people who liked MOS. WWZ did way more than expected. MOS has been killing it OS and it should finish with 315-320m domestic.

@thedude1 I was actually surprised that MU made 82mil seeing how the original film opened with 62mil, I thought this would have made lower. Of course, the 3D tickets helped.

@ghostman A first in a series on pace for roughly 700 million dollars is great. Hell even Iron Man or Batman Begins couldn't do that.
