Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria Join ‘The Baytown Disco’

Barry Battles co-wrote and directs this tale of three rednecks who attempt to save a kid from an abusive father.

William O. Perkins, founder and President of LLeju Productions announced today that Academy Award Winner Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria have joined the cast of The Baytown Disco. Perkins, through his LLeju Productions banner optioned the script, controls the rights, and is financing and producing. Robert Teitel (Notorious) from State Street Pictures is producing alongside LLeju Productions.

Serinda Swan, Clayne Crawford, Thomas Sangster and Meagan Good will co-star in the film which begins lensing in Louisiana on May 2nd. The Baytown Disco follows the foibles of three redneck brothers who get more than they bargained for after agreeing to help a woman get her son back from his seemingly-abusive father.

Barry Battles will helm The Baytown Disco which is based on a script he co-wrote with Griffin Hood. Mary Vernieu at Betty Mae is casting for the pic which is based on a script that was listed on 2009's "Black List" of Hollywood's top unproduced projects.

The Baytown Outlaws was released January 11th, 2013 and stars Zoe Bell, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Paul Wesley, Natalie Martinez, Billy Bob Thornton, Eva Longoria, Serinda Swan, Daniel Cudmore. The film is directed by Barry Battles.

    Couldn't care less about Thornton or Longoria. This is getting my thumbs up for the gorgeous Swan, who is still one of my top five picks to be Wonder Woman if there is ever a movie.
