‘Beginners’ Gets Release Date

Focus Features has set a June 3, 2011 release date for Beginners, a dramedy starring Christopher Plummer and Ewan McGregor.

According to Variety, writer-director Mike Mills's semi-autobiographical film tells the story of a man whose father comes out of the closet and announces he has a young lover.

Beginners will open the same weekend as 20th Century Fox's Matthew Vaughn-helmed X-Men: First Class.

Beginners was released June 3rd, 2011 and stars Ewan McGregor, Christopher Plummer, Mélanie Laurent, Goran Visnjic, Kai Lennox, Mary Page Keller, Keegan Boos, China Shavers. The film is directed by Mike Mills.
