Last month, we reported that the long-awaited first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be attached to prints of Mad Max: Fury Road when it hits theaters on May 15. But that report claimed Warner Bros. may debut the footage online at an earlier date. Today, El Mayimbe reports that director Zack Snyder will release the first five seconds of the trailer through his Twitter page on Thursday, April 16 at 9 AM PT. Fans will then be able to sign up to watch the full-length trailer during a theatrical event set for April 20, and the trailer will also be attached to prints of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Here's what El Mayimbe had to say below.

"HUGE #BatmanvSuperman RUMOR! Zack Snyder at 9am on Thursday, an hour before the start of Star Wars celebration will tweet the first five seconds of the new #BatmanvSupermanDawnofJustice trailer on his Twitter. You will then be able to sign up to view the full trailer in a theater on Monday April 20th. Also, the trailer will in fact be in front of prints of #AVENGERS #AGEOFULTRON! BOOM! #dc #marvel"

It has been rumored that director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy will unveil the first full-length trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens during the Star Wars Celebration kickoff event on Thursday, April 16 at 10 PM PT, which will also be streamed live online. If both of these rumors are true, then fans will get to see new footage from two of the most highly-anticipated movies of all-time debuting just one hour apart. With this event just days away, hopefully we'll get some sort of official confirmation from Warner Bros. very soon.

Collider also confirmed that the five-second preview will debut on April 16, and that there will be a trailer event in theaters the following Monday, but they don't confirm that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer will be shown in front of Avengers: Age of Ultron in theaters. It has also been rumored that Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will also be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron, which could turn out to be an immense theatrical event with those two trailers and the movie itself. We'll keep you posted with more details on the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer as soon as we have official details from Warner Bros.
