Everyone is desperate to know when, exactly, the first teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will strike. Its not unusual that we haven't seen it yet, as it is still a little less than a year away from release. But fans want it now! Well, if a new rumor pans out, we'll all have to wait a little longer. The first Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer won't debut in theaters until May 15, when Mad Max: Fury Road opens wide.

It has been speculated before that Warner Bros. will debut the first official look at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with Mad Max: Fury Road, but Collider is now confirming that as fact. They claim that Warner Bros. wants to get the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser out of the way of Avengers: Age of Ultron and the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer that comes attached to it (according to today's earlier rumors). DC and Warner Bros. want Avengers: Age of Ultron to finish breaking records and storming social media before they show the world what they have planned for the new DC cinematic universe.

The strategy seems logical from a marketing standpoint. Two weeks after Avengers: Age of Ultron opens, that conversation will have died down, and fans will be on to the next big thing. Which Warner Bros. and DC hope is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. None of this has been confirmed by Warner Bros. or DC, mind you. And as Collider points out, minds could change and we could see the trailer earlier. But that's not likely to happen. However this pans out, its pretty safe to say that we'll see the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before summer is over. If things go according to plan, it will finally happen on May 15th.
