There has been a lot of talk recently about the lack of women superheroes in comic book movies. While Marvel is looking to rectify that with their female-led Captain Marvel, Warner Bros. and DC will actually beat them to the punch with a standalone Wonder Woman movie. But first, the character will be introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And it sounds like this Man of Steel sequel is paving the way for a more girl-friendly genre environment. Star Amy Adams, who reprises her role as Lois Lane, recently spoke with MTV, and revealed how nice it was to have another woman on set in Gal Gadot.

The actress also revealed that this feels more like a Superman sequel to her than a set up for Justice League Part 1. Though, she did have fun interacting with some of the other characters that will eventually make up that superhero ensemble.

"Well, I was still doing a Superman movie! My part is mostly there, so I felt like that, but it was really fun to get to play with these other characters that were coming in and to get to have Gal there. To get to have another girl on set..."

Lois Lane will have a scene with Wonder Woman in the movie, but as Amy Adams pointed out in another interview, there will be no competition between the two for Superman's affections. When we are reintroduced to Lois in the movie, she is actually shacked up with Clark Kent. And if there is to be a love triangle, it won't be in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Asked about her scene with Gal Gadot, Amy Adams could only praise the actress and how she looks in her costume:

"I can't really say. But I will say Gal looks really, really good in that costume!"
