Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey will team-up for the first time on screen in the upcoming dystopian love story The Bad Batch. Jason Momoa, who was previously rumored for a lead role, has been confirmed to star as well. Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) will direct for Annapurna Pictures and VICE.

Diego Luna and Suki Waterhouse are also set to star in the movie. Production will begin in Los Angeles next month. The film is described as a wasteland cannibal thriller. Suki Waterhouse is playing a character named Arlen, with Diego Luna set to play Jimmy. Jim Carrey is known as The Hermit, with Jason Momoa taking on the role of Miami Man. And true to his on-screen persona, Keanu Reeves is fittingly referred to as The Dream. No further character details have been unveiled.

Ana Lily Amirpour will also write The Bad Batch. She won a Breakthrough Director Gotham Award for her Iranian vampire feature A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. Vice and Annapurna previously collaborated on A24's Spring Breakers, The Grandmaster and Her. The plan is to sell The Bad Batch at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
