Just hours after the new poster debuted from Avengers: Age of Ultron, we have an alternate version that puts a different Avenger up front. The official Facebook page for Marvel Germany has released this one-sheet, which now has Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark leading the team, pushing Captain America (Chris Evans) slightly behind him. Perhaps Iron Man is a bigger hit in Germany than Cap, but in both posters, it's clear that Stark and Steve Rogers will be at the center of this epic sequel.
This makes sense since next year, both Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will be pitted against each other in Marvel's first Phase Three adventure Captain America: Civil War, where they will be on opposite sides of the Superhero Registration Act. Another noticeable difference from the poster released earlier today is that the numerous robots of Ultron's army are gone, with only the silhouette of Vision (Paul Bettany) remaining in the sky above them. The rest of this one-sheet remains the same, featuring Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), along with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and new additions Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and (Elizabeth Olsen).
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure. Check out both of these new posters below. Which one do you like best?
