Amy Gumenick, who played a young Mary Winchester during flashbacks on The CW's hit series Supernatural, is returning to the network to play Carrie Cutter, a.k.a. Cupid on Arrow. The character will make her debut in the sixth and seventh episodes of Season 3, but it isn't known if there are plans to bring her back later in the season.

Carrie Cutter was actually created in the comic books by Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg while he wrote for the Green Arrow/Black Canary comic book series. The character is described as a "lethal villainess" who has an obsessive crush on Arrow (Stephen Amell).

Here's what Andrew Kreisberg had to say about his character coming on to the show.

"I always loved the idea of Green Arrow having a crazed fan. When I was writing the comic book, my big goal was to create a villain who would last. Cupid has since appeared in the DC Nation shorts on Cartoon Network, and to have her fight our TV Arrow is so much more than I ever could have hoped for the character."

Amy Gumenick is just the latest in a slew of new casting additions, such as Brandon Routh (Atom), Karl Yune (Maseo Yamashiro) and Peter Stormare (Vertigo), J.R. Ramirez (Wildcat), David Cubitt (Manhunter), Matt Ward (Komodo), Rila Fukushima (Katana) and Nolan Gerard Funk (Cooper Seldon).

Season 3 of Arrow debuts Wednesday, October 8 at 8 PM ET on The CW Network. Amy Gumenick most recently played Philomena on the AMC Network series Turn.
