‘Arrested Development’ Movie Becoming a Reality?

It appears that series creator Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard have reportedly closed their deals for the film.

We reported last week that Jeffery Tambor indicated an Arrested Development movie was moving forward, and there is even more proof of that now. According to The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard have apparently closed their deals for the feature film version of the popular TV series.

Apparently Hurwitz is set to write and direct the film, with Howard to co-direct. No production schedule has been set and it istn't clear whether Jason Bateman or Michael Cera have signed on to the project as well.

We'll surely keep you updated on any developments surrounding this film version of the beloved series.

    the show was awesome.
it's the reason i like jason bateman, although the original reason i watched it at all was because david cross was in it.

definitely looking forward to the movie.

One of the best shows ever! I own all 3 seasons, watch them religously! Very excited to hear about a movie in the works. For hardcore fans like me, they would really have to get the original cast back on. It would just kill me to see another guy playing Gob or George Michael. I'd still see the movie anyway though.

One of my friends got me to watch his 3 DVD seasons. And I did not regret it. It was a really smart, funny, well written show. But in order to get the full aspect of it you have to watch it in order. It kept getting death time slots by FOX and I think a movie will help wrap somethings up. But I will definitely watch this.
